FOUNDER
Our founder Mehmet AKAY, who was born in Diyarbakır in 1950, came to Istanbul in 1971 and laid the foundations of "Akay Leather". Mehmet AKAY, who correctly analyzed the market needs of the piece leather sector, has an important share in our company's current success.
2nd Generation
Yusuf Akay. He was born in Diyarbakır in 1978. He grew up from the core at Akay Deri and carried out his job with passion. Yusuf Akay, who took over the flag of Akay Deri in 1995, continued the superior customer satisfaction understanding defined in the company's DNA codes. In addition, he added value to Akay Deri by managing the import and export processes and opening his company to the world.
3th Generation
The 3rd generation of the company is Ahmet Akay. He was born in 2003. Ahmet Akay, who is interested in fitness and football, started to take an active role in 2020. He currently works as wholesale and retail sales manager. Ahmet Akay follows technology and innovations closely. It seems determined to implement the innovations in "Akay Leather". Ahmet Akay, who also conducts research on sustainability, not only recycles waste products currently used in many sectors, but also revises the processes in his company and makes them compatible with sustainability policies.
